BOAT TOURs

Take a private boat tour to fully capture the beautiful nature that the 18 surrounding islands have to offer.  Ride in & out of caves listening to music while sipping on your favorite local drinks.  Whales, seals, puffins, and other wildlife are waiting to greet you.

VOLCANO

The volcano Eldfell erupted in 1973 and remains active.  The volcano at it's peak is 660 ft. (200 meters) and offers fascinating views of the islands.  The local game is to see who can find the warmest rock on the volcano and makes for a great souvenir to take back home.

HIKING

Grab your hiking boots or rent them downtown to climb up any one of the six peaks around the island.  The reward always looks and feels spectacular.  Mountain tops are great for all skill-levels from beginner to expert.

GOLF

YES!  There is a 18 hole golf course on the island which is the favorite of many Icelanders on the mainland.  Play inside the volcanic cradle and along the volcanic beaches, the golf course is challenging and fun.  Remember, if you shoot into the lava, it's still "playable".

If you ask the locals on the mainland of Iceland, they will tell you that Westman Islands really is the "hidden gem" of Iceland.  Enjoy, relax and soak it all in (and by soak, we mean refreshing sea-bath).
